Dana has been in medical sales for over 24 years. The course of her career would involve a few large companies, including Smiths Medical and Stryker, but she found the perfect fit in Independent Representation Contracting where she got to choose what companies she represented. This freedom allowed her to select products and technologies that are truly unique and offer advantages that impact clinical practice and patient outcomes. The extreme irony is that some of her portfolios focus on Neonatal products/technologies for premature babies. In 2003, she had her first son Carter two months early at 32 weeks. Carter spent 3 weeks at the Banner Desert NICU and is an amazing 21-year-old today. Her second son, Blake was born at 36 weeks two and a half years later; he too has grown to be a healthy, incredible young adult. As a result of her experiences as a neonatal Mom, she is extremely involved in the March of Dimes and served as the Arizona Ambassador Family in 2019.
Kim Appel has more than 20 years of clinical experience and served as a Clinical Specialist for two respiratory device manufacturers prior to partnering with Performance Medical. Her professional interests include infection control, collaborative healthcare, and educating patients, families and practitioners in the benefits of innovative medical products and therapeutic techniques. In her free time, she loves to be outdoors doing just about anything!
Shay beat a path to Performance Medical in large part due to the experiences his family shared at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital NICU. Shay's primary goal is to add value and provide support to the Neonatal Intensive Care Units and hospitals that he serves.
Previously, Shay worked in Facilities Management for a national healthcare provider. He graduated with Honors from the University of Missouri with a degree in Communications. In his free time Shay enjoys over-landing his vehicles or trailing his enduro bike in the desert.
Julie has worked in medical marketing and sales for over a decade in the Phoenix metro area. Julie has been an advocate for children for over 20 years and uses education as a key bridge to expand product knowledge to her clients…skill she cultivated while working at the State Department of Education. Her emphasis on creating solid relationships between organizations has been the foundation of her success, along with supporting clinicians to achieve best outcomes for their infant and pediatric population. In her time outside of work she enjoys traveling with her husband and two children and attending concerts with friends.
